Our story

How we got here

Built by two engineers with a simple belief — AI could do better. Five years later, we're a team of 40 across 12 countries, still working toward that same goal.

  • Where it all began 2019

    Two engineers frustrated with rigid, robotic chatbots start experimenting with conversational AI in a shared apartment.

  • First product ships 2020

    Kiro's first internal prototype goes live, handling real customer conversations for a handful of beta partners.

  • Seed round raised 2021

    We closed our first funding round, grew the team to 12 people, and moved into our first proper office.

  • Enterprise contracts 2022

    Kiro signs its first enterprise customers and ships omnichannel deployment, bringing agents to web, mobile, and messaging platforms.

  • 40 people, 12 countries 2023

    The team grows into a fully distributed organisation spanning Europe, North America, and Asia.
